Returns and right of withdrawal

This policy applies to standard physical goods bought in our shop. As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht) under Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive. It lets you change your mind about a purchase, separately from your statutory rights if something is faulty.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. This period starts the day after you (or someone you name, who is not the carrier) receive the goods. If your order is delivered in several parts, the period starts the day after you receive the last item.

To withdraw in time, simply tell us before the 14 days are over. You can do this by emailing hello@chipster.example or by using the model withdrawal form below. After you have notified us, you then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

Return shipping cost

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. This is the statutory default: the return postage is paid by you, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Condition of the goods

You may handle and inspect the goods only as you reasonably would in a shop. You are liable for any loss in value that results from handling beyond what is needed to establish the nature, characteristics and working of the item. Please return pieces in resaleable condition where possible, with any tags and packaging.

Your refund

We refund the full amount you paid for the goods, including the original standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. If you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option, we refund only the cost of our standard delivery, not the extra you paid for the upgrade.

We may wait to refund you until we have received the goods back, or until you have shown proof that you have sent them, whichever comes first. We refund using the same payment method you used to pay, and we do not charge any fee for the refund.

Faulty or non-conforming items

Separately from the right of withdrawal, you always have the statutory legal guarantee of conformity (wettelijke garantie / conformiteit, Art. 7:18 BW). If an item is faulty or not as described, please contact us at hello@chipster.example and we will put it right. Please note that small variation between circuit-board pieces — slight differences in board finish, silkscreen and edge — is inherent to the material and is not a defect. How to start a return

Email hello@chipster.example with your order number. We will reply with instructions and the return address.

You may, but do not have to, use this model form (modelformulier voor herroeping). Complete and send it only if you wish to withdraw from your contract.
